Afro-Portuguese ballad maker Sara Tavares was innate in 1978 and brought up in Lisbon. Second-generation Portuguese of Cape Verdean seemly, Sara was brought up by an elderly matriarch in her community after her founder left for the States in search of a better life, her mother having traveled south in pursuit of the like ends. Sara showed outstanding musical promise from a cy Young years, a potency that was cultivated and bore fruit spell Tavares was still in her teens. Winning the Endemol song contest Chuva de Estrelas, followed by a triumph at the Portuguese Television Song Contest in 1994, earned Tavares a slot on the Eurovision Song Contest, all at the age of 16. New York City's Michael G. (born Michael Goldwasser) and Ticklah (born Victor Axelrod) ar the iI longtime friends world Health Organization form the Easy Star All-Stars. Goldwasser had been playing guitar with the R&B band Special Request, just afterwards five-spot active years the band skint up. Working with Brooklyn sound organisation Twin Sound, the deuce organized trey tribute concerts to Augustus Pablo in 1999 and backed the likes of Sugar Minott, the Meditations, and Sister Carol onstage and in the studio apartment. In 2003, the duet released Dub Side of the Moon, their reggae/dub version of Pink Floyd's most illustrious album. In 2006, they turned toward Radiohead's OK Computer and reimagined it as Radiodread.
